Games yesterday went pretty much according to expectations. There are four pools of four with all the top teams taking their pools as expected. The only “upset” was Karma over Mayhem 1 (Mayhem 2 is their feeder team). Karma is composed of many Open, Women’s, and Masters players from Toronto, Waterloo, and Guelph. It looks like a Liquid vs Karma final is in the cards with wind playing a huge factor (gusts up to ~60km/h).

I haven’t posted for a couple days but things have been busy. In between preparing more content, working on projects, traveling, league, practice, and oh…work, it has been a hectic few days. So what’s coming up this weekend? The last few days have provided plenty of rain to soften the ground in preparation for Soggy Bottom Bowl in Guelph. It’s a fun tournament that’s usually held on the first weekend of May (rather than the last) but the TD was busy earlier in the season and the city wouldn’t open a certain few fields.

Those reading over the roster lists from the past few days will notice that Firebird’s roster was conspicuously missing. It appears that Firebird has folded and will not be playing this summer. It might be too early to discount them entirely but with Firebird missing there may not be an Ontario Open Regionals needed.
