Mixed Up 2009 Quick Update

A quick update with results that I’ve heard of from players at the tournament, Liquid lost to ONYX 10-8 with the “potential for Universe”. They had a rough day on Saturday but managed to win all their games. Liquid also defeated RIP (handily I’ve been told) to continue their dominance from TUF. ONYX continues their Mixed Up rivalry with Liquid with this victory (they defeated Liquid in the 3/4 game last year at Mixed Up).

Delayed

A week’s worth of driving rain has saturated the fields and canceled all games apart from those in the top eight. It’s raining hard here at the fields and there’s doubt as to whether the games will continue. While thundershowers are expected one can hope that this storm quickly passes and allows us the rare opportunity of a live TV broadcast. Updates will continue as to the sustainability of the schedule.
