Catchup

Hello all! I’ve been substantially busy lately and with only the UPA series in effect (and plenty of coverage available everywhere else) I’ve neglected this site a bit. Not to worry though as I plan on having some content up in advance of CUUC. In other news Paganello 2010registration is in open! The greatest tournament in the world is April 1st through 5th of next year. If you can get a team together then I suggest you register ASAP!

CUC 2009: Thank you!

I need to thank quite a few people for assisting with our coverage of CUC 2009. Hopefully TDs understand the need for live onsite coverage of scores as well as bloggers. First and foremost I’d like to thank Rahil who really took charge of the commentating side of things and organized while I was busy wondering why we were having server issues. On that note a big thanks to Steven Trainor for commentating and bringing on Mike.

A quick peek…

Feedback from the last live broadcast has been incorporated. Since the chat was flaky it has been removed and instead you will have to contact us via email with questions/comments. A new flash client will be used and you’ll access it through a post rather than a special URL. Here’s a peek at what it looks like:

Why so much?!

I will update soon, have been quite busy with ensuring that I’m ready for Nationals. Eating, running, throwing, and general fitness cuts quite a bit into blogging and media management. Steve Trainor has posted a quick blurb on London Calling at his blog and since I’m heading there this weekend I’ll provide a brief on it tomorrow.

New Look

As you can see the site has a new look and a logo that’ll be making the rounds and perhaps ending up on a disc in the future. Hope you like it.

C’est finito

Ontario Regionals have now finished. Unofficial results will be posted shortly. Official results will come after CUPA approval. Thanks to all those that helped out this weekend and thanks to all those involved in the live broadcast. We’ll continue to improve the tech and make an all in one product available to TDs in the future. If you’re a TD and interested in live broadcasting please let me know and I’ll assist you in making it happen including providing the software and bandwidth you need to connect to viewers.

Chat will be updated throughout the day with results and live commentary. Please send feedback and requests to live@iamultimate.com. A reminder that this is an alpha product that I started hacking together one week ago so this is very much an experimental stage and we’ll use the experience to develop a better live system.

Regionals Coverage

Are you heading into town for Regionals to watch or support your team? Will you be taking photos? Writing any blog entries? Wanting to write blog entries? If so then please let me know so that I may link to your photos or blog during or after Regionals. Photographers: There are no official photographers for the event so all are welcome to shoot games. Please check with teams as to how close you can get to the fields, I suspect that none will mind if you’re right on the line.
