CUC 2010 Women’s Final

Just in time for today we bring you the Women’s Final featuring Storm and Stella. The game
begins in the calm but as the wind picks up for the first time all weekboth teams have some…issues. It was especially tough for the ladies as they warmed up when it was calm and then faced choppy wind conditions during the game.
You can find the Mixed Final on our CUC 2010 Videos Page as well as right here: Watch Now.

CUC 2010 Mixed Finals

Slightly delayed for the day as it’s a massive file that’s been processed IAmUltimate along with CUC 2010 Sherbrooke brings you the Mixed Final. Now that we’re into the finals days the processing may take a bit longer as they’re longer games. There may not be a Finals video each Wednesday but there will be a video of some sort.
Featuring an all Quebec final between ONYX and RIP the match started well, slowed down, and then got quite exciting.
You can find the Mixed Final on our CUC 2010 Videos Page as well as right here: Watch Now.

CUC 2010 Juniors Final

As close as we could get it to midnight here on the East Coast (before some of us head to the West Coast for the Ultimate Canada Conference) IAmUltimate along with CUC 2010 Sherbrooke brings you the Juniors Final. You’ve been asking us for quite some time and at a measured pace the finals along with other videos will be made available each and everyWednesday.
Juniors, it’s time to step up and contribute however you can. That doesn’t mean contributing to this website (although that is appreciated as we need writers and graphic artists and those with ideas) but it means getting a high school team started. If you’re a senior and leaving then go home in the summer and help coach at your old school. Tell your friends about the game and get a Juniors or High School league started. Yes, it will be hard but it’s worth the effort, you were.
You can find the Juniors Final on our CUC 2010 Videos Page as well as right here: Watch Now.

University of Waterloo vs Wilfred Laurier University – Photos by Jon Hines
On Saturday, November 14, 2010, the University of Waterloo (UW) and Wilfred Laurier University (WLU) Open Ultimate teams had a post-season exhibition game in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. This was the first game of this type between the two Universities in Waterloo. Laurier had defeated UW B team at University Easterns but had yet to play against the UW A team in an organized game. 2010 was the first year for the WLU team, and several of their players played for UW last year at CEUUC and CUUC 2009. As an alumnus of the UW team and a friend of many of the players on the Laurier team, this game had special meaning for me. The game symbolized how far ultimate has come in Waterloo and it was really exciting for me to watch and photograph what turned out to be some pretty respectable ultimate. I bought a new lens in time for the occasion, which added to my personal excitement. Continue Reading →
