Gallery: UUCC 2010
It’s been a long time coming but it seems appropriate that at the start of a great season we look back at one of the finest tournaments Ultimate players and fans can attend.

CUC 2010 Masters Final
While we work on new content about something older but really new that you’ve been asking for quite some time? As the title indicates the Masters Final from CUC is now available. The game featured GLUM (Ottawa and others…) vs Figjam (Calgary and others…) in a game full of interesting moments, decisions, and collisions (try the 5 minute mark). The game is presented almost in entirety with minimal editing of the actual game.
Also, please consider Wednesdays our new Video day with either new video of highlighting existing video; it’s Video Wednesday (or VVednesday if you prefer)!
Oh yes, you can find the Masters Final on our CUC 2010 Videos page.

UUCC Days 2 and 3
After a couple of exhausting days always on the move or photographing I figured it was time to take a break and hang out with some fine folks in the USA Ultimate community.
The last two days had some incredible Ultimate and some “ok” Ultimate. Inspired by Johnny and his friends I decided to spend much of my time on Friday following Furious George with a break to watch whatever game came my way.

As we start our weekend in Ottawa at CUUC we can’t help but think that we best keep you occupied until our coverage really gets going on our Twitter feed: twitter.com/iamultimate. Expect score updates, photos, and some video. I’ll also try to get a daily recap in place but I’m in downtown Ottawa with the UWO Sharks and I expect there to be shenanigans.
In this episode we look at:
- CUC Junior All-Stars
- USA Ultimate 2011 Board Candidates and Statements
- Imagining America’s “Commonwealth” Games
- Ultimate from 1991
- The Building of a Frisbee Thrower
- BluePrint at Regionals
- Throwing Forehand
- 2010 Club Regionals Photo Gallery

Central Masters Review
From the undulating fields of the Twin Cities Polo Grounds, USA Ultimate’s Central Regionals took place this past weekend in Maple Plain, Minnesota (30 minutes west of Minneapolis-St. Paul).
It was my 1st time playing in the UPA/USA Ultimate series, as opposed to a Surly Cynic player I was chatting with who has played in every Central Regional since 1984, and I had a fantastic time. Unfortunately my schedule didn’t allow me to keep too close an eye on the other divisions (Masters started an hour later than everyone else, so all the games were done by the time we were on Saturday), so this recap will focus primarily on the Masters division.
My team, Rust, is technically based out of Detroit, but we were pulling players from all over the region, including Cleveland, Milwaukee, Chicago and Minneapolis, as well as making full use of roster exemptions to bring in players from Toronto.
