Actually Tushar, BDU was also in the pool with GLUM, Fuel and Fossil, as we did indeed hold a Masters Regionals on Saturday.

The game to go predictably came down to Fossil and BDU, and with Mother Nature (45 kph winds) and the TD (crosswind, rather than upwind/downwind, fields) conspired to give BDU the well deserved 13-5 victory, and the final spot at Nationals.

GLUM was without some traditional faces; Ian Brooks, Dave Janssen [playing with Phoenix], Derek Sigurdson [now captaining Fuel], and Peter Knowles, in particular. They were still as strong as ever though; I do not believe they gave up a 1st half point in any of their Masters games.

Fuel still has some chemistry issues to work out, as their roster was not finalized until the week leading up to No Borders, and NB was the 1st time they played together as a full group. There are 7 players who were not on Fossil added to Fuel this year, and 1 more player returning after a 2 year absence from Fossil. Included in the adds are players from GLUM and Grand Trunk, so they look to have closed the gap on FigJam, talent wise. Time will tell if it carries over to game play.

2010 Canadian Masters team: (in likely order of seeding)

1) GLUM (Ottawa)
2) FigJam (Calgary)
3) Fuel (Toronto)
4) Flood (Winnipeg)
5) Quantam (bigtime sleeper team) (Quebec City)
6) Bad Daddy Ultimate (BDU) (Ottawa)
7) Scotch (Halifax)
8) Nsom (formely GOB?) (Montreal)
