In Open Florida will face Carleton. Florida went 3-1 in pool play (losing to UCSB) and then dominating through the playoffs to reach the finals with relative ease. Likewise Carleton went 3-1 in pool play (losing to Harvard) and then marched through playoffs with equivalent scores to Florida. This is an anticipated match-up as their only scheduled match this season (Trouble in Vegas) was canceled as the tournament was called before they could play.
In Womens Oregon (website) takes on UCSB (website). Number one seed Oregon has marched through the tournament with little resistance; their first match being the closest: 15-9 against North Carolina-Wilmington. UCSB had a few tighter matches in pool play and had a tight 16-14 win over Wisconsin in the semis to earn their spot in the finals. These teams have met twice this season with Oregon taking both matches: 12-10 at the President’s Day Invitational Finals and 15-8 at the Stanford Invite in the semis (where Oregon went on to defeat Washington 15-13).
